FVP Meets Special Norwegian Envoy to Sudan

First Vice President (FVP) of the Sovereign Council,1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has received in his office at the Republican Palace the Special Norwegian Envoy to Sudan, Dr. Andre Stiansen, who conveyed congratulations on the occasion of singing the comprehensive peace agreement in Juba with the armed struggle movements.
The Norwegian Envoy affirmed, in press statements, the support of his country to Sudan to implement the agreement which is considered an important part of transition in Sudan after the glorious revolution of December towards the election by the end of the transitional period when an elected civilian government will be formed, affirming of the awareness amid youth and women on the peace agreement considering them as main partners in the revolution and peace-making.
The Norwegian Envoy said that the meeting with the FVP discussed the possibility of Norway contribution in implementation of the peace agreement, adding that the meeting also discussed the current challenges facing Sudan especially in economy, pointing out to the contribution and support of the international community to Sudan in this regard to enable overcoming those challenges.
He added that the meeting discussed the UNAMID exit  from Darfur by  the end of the year and the arrival of UNITAMS assigned to assist and support Sudan in the arrangements of the transitional period besides peace-building process.
