Meeting between Daglo and Beja Supreme Council Comes out with Important Understandings on East Sudan Issue

First Vice President (FVP) of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo received in his office at the Republican Palace the Supreme Council of Beja tribe administrations and the independent sheikdoms to discuss the latest developments on Eastern Sudan issue.
Beja Supreme Council  and independent sheikdoms Spokesperson, Taha Faki Sheikh Taha stated that they affirmed to the 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council that the current crisis in Eastern Sudan is an imposed political problem and not conflicts between Bani Amer and Habab as some might believe, pointing out that the government was not just with them as it lagged behind implementing the conditions of reconciliation agreement, adding that the Eastern Sudan path in Juba peace agreement was imposed on them, pointing out that the 1st Vice President promised to form a committee to review Eastern Sudan Path in Juba Peace Agreement.
He pointed out that they asked the FVP to implement the reconciliation agreement  considering it is the ultimate solution for the problems of the region, affirming that the FVP promised to form a committee to study the issue and implement the conditions.
Taha Faki emphasized the importance of implementing what was agreed on with the FVP, affirming that they are supporting Sudan’s unity.
