Daglo Calls the Negotiators to Expedite Reaching a Compromise, Lauds the Progress in South Sudan Peace Implementation

First Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo reviewed the process of the formation  of South Sudan National Unity Government.

Daglo conveyed the greetings of the President of the Sovereign Council to the President of South Sudan, Salva Kiir Mayardit in the presence of member of the Sovereign Council, Mohammed Hassan Al-Taayshi.

He said in press statements, after meeting the President of South Sudan at the Republican Palace in Juba that he came to Juba to follow up the peace process in Sudan and South Sudan considering that the two are linked to each other.

He added that he was following the process of the negotiations between the Sudanese delegation and the delegations of the armed groups, calling on the parties to the negotiation to expedite the steps to strike a peace deal.

He called the negotiators to provide all possible concessions for the sake of the people who are aspiring peace.

On the peace process of South Sudan, Daglo said that things are progressing.

Meanwhile, Advisor of South Sudan President for Security Affairs, Tut Galwak, said in press statements that the meeting between President Salva Kiir and Daglo comes within the frame of continuous consultations on peace issues between the two countries, adding that President Salva Kiir conveyed the appreciation of the government and people of South Sudan to Daglo for his continuous follow-up to the implementation of the peace agreement file considering him as the grantor of the peace process in South Sudan.

Tut added that, 1st Lt. Gen. Daglo came to review the dossier of the formation of South Sudan government on the light of his direct responsibility on the dossier, lauding the great achievements in the peace process in South Sudan.
