First Vice President of the Sovereign Council Addresses RSF Human Rights Capacity Building and Humanitarian Law Workshop

First Vice President of the Sovereign Council, Commander in Chief of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), 1st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo, and the UNAMID Special Joint Representative, Jirimi Mamabolo, will address today (Monday 24th February, 220) at Coral Hotel a workshop on human rights capacity building and humanitarian international law, organized by the UNAMID human Rights Section.

RSF Spokesperson, Brigadier Jamal Juma’a , said that the workshop will be addressed by UN Human Rights Commission representative, Chief of the Human Rights National Commission, adding that the workshop will continue till Wednesday.

He said that several working papers and presentation will be discussed by specialized experts in the workshop, along with enlightenments on the role and missions of  human rights  related national institutions.

Juma’a expressed appreciation to the UNAMID for cooperation and providing the logistical support to the workshop, and its contribution in boosting peace and security in Darfur,  besides it coordinative role of the African Centre of Governance and Peace in coordinating and organizing the workshop.
