The Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo has met in his office at the Presidential Palace with the European Union Envoy to the African Horn, Anette Weber.
The meeting was attended by the Director of Political Department of the Presidential Palace, Ambassador Hassan Al-Arabi, the Director of European Department at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Khalid Moussa.
The meeting addressed the relations between Sudan and the European Union, the efforts being made for political consensus, as well as the developments in the African Horn.
The Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President expressed thanks to European Union for its efforts to maintain stability in Sudan and Horn of Africa region.
He underscored the position of the military component and its commitment to exit politics, and the need to form a fully civilian government, he called on all stakeholders to make national concessions to maintain peace and stability of the country.
On the other hand, Dagalo stressed the importance of EU support during peace process, in term of security arrangements, not to link humanitarian and developments aid to the current political situations in the country.
Meanwhile, Annette Weber stressed that the efforts of EU works to encourage political and civilian forces to reach an agreement to complete the transition period, praising decision of the military component to exit politics to form civilian government.
The Transitional Sovereignty Council VP emphasized that the crisis in Ethiopia is an internal, the only way to solve it, is through peaceful negotiation, he called for the need for regional and international parties not to intervene in the crisis.
