South Darfur Governor Lauds RSF Efforts in Boosting Security in Conflict Areas

South Darfur State Governor, Dr. Musa Mahdi lauds the security efforts of the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in containing the recent conflicts in Kas and Shataya locality, pointing out that the intervention is considered the fastest of its kind in Darfur conflicts.
The governor said, while receiving an enlightenment over the security situations in Kas and Shataya localities from Lt. Col. Al-Nour Al-Douma, the commander of RSF battalion to boost security in the two localities, that if the authorities intervene in such rapid manner in case of conflicts, then it will never repeat.
For his part, the governor of South Darfur State expressed appreciation to the commander in chief of the RSF, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo, for dispatching a humanitarian convoy to conflict areas (Shataya, Bronga and Kailik) a matter that contributed in easing the sufferings of the inhabitants of those areas as it included all necessary requirements such as commodities, shelter materials, medicines and cloths.
The governor promised to complete the humanitarian efforts which the RSF started in the conflict areas, urging the RSF to continue its efforts to protect the agricultural and harvest season.
