Director General of the Water Corporation in South Darfur Mohammed El-Mustafa Fadul has received four new water pumps to help operate a water station that was affected by recent tribal conflict.
The water pumps were donated by Transitional Sovereignty Council Vice President, General Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo.
Fadul said the Tulos Locality and surrounding areas have suffered from severe water shortages in summer due to the population density and large number of livestock in the region.
Meanwhile, RSF Commander for the South Darfur Sector, General Bashier Adam Eissa said arrangements are underway to address social services issues, including water shortages.
In turn, Falata Tribe Chief Mohammed Al-Fatih Al-Samani praised the efforts of the RSF and the corporation to resolve the water shortages.
