1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council Meets Darfur Women Path for Peace Talks

1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, Head of government delegation to peace talks in Jba, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo received in his residence at Bermid Hotel in Juba a delegation representing Darfur Women Path for Peace Talks in Juba.

The meeting discussed the means of translating the peace agreement which is supposed to be signed within days on the ground, especially in regard of removing injustice towards women and children considering them the most affected sector by war.

The delegation of Darfur Women Path for Peace Talks presented number of future projects to boost the peace process among Darfur communities, besides women empowerment politically and socially to enable them play their role perfectly.

The delegation urged the 1st Vice President to adapt projects for sheltering the t children and to establish a fund for Darfur women aiming at boosting the social peace and contributing in the repatriation process of the returnees  their home villages besides safeguarding the agricultural season.

Darfur Women affirmed their pledge to the 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council to support him in all the efforts he is exerting in serving the Sudanese people.

For his part, 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council announced his sponsoring all the presented projects, affirming that the organization of sheltering homeless children which he declared yesterday from Juba will not be only for South Sudan but will also include all the states of Sudan.
