1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council Meets South Sudan President in Juba

1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, 1st lt. Gen. Mohammed Hamdan Daglo met today with the President of South Sudan State, 1st Lt. Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit in Juba, the capital city of South Sudan.
The 1st Vice President of the Sovereign Council, conveyed to greetings of the President of the Sovereign Council and the Prime Minister to H.E. South Sudan President.
Daglo briefed Mayardit on the latest developments in the negotiations which achieved considerable progress due to the efforts exerted by the mediation which set a timetable for the rest of the issues.
Daglo affirmed that the peace negotiations process is going on steadily towards striking a final deal between the Sudanese government and the Sudanese Revolutionary Front (SRF).
He expressed appreciation to South Sudan government and people for their strong stance in order to achieve peace in Sudan.
“By achieving peace in both countries we proved to the international community that we are qualified to resolve our problems by ourselves” Daglo concluded.
