RSF Officers Human Rights Capacity Building Workshop Concludes

The RSF in cooperation with Geneva Human Rights Institute concluded last Thursday at Oil House the Capacity-building on Human Rights workshop which targets the RSF officers.
Representative of the FVP and Commander in Chief of the RSF, Maj. Gen. Isam Addeen Saleh Fedail addressed the concluding session, affirming that the RSF are working according to the principles and laws of the regulrar forces, adding that the workshop targeted the officers to upgrade their knowledge on the duties of protecting the civilians, recommending repeating such workshops to include the lower ranks in the RSF.
On his part, the Director of Geneva Human Rights Institute, Nazar Abdul Gadir hailed the role of the RSF for its keenness to train its recruits, pointing out to decision of establishing human rights directorate and child protection in the RSF.
The representative of the trainee officers, Maj. Gen. Al-Kahir Abdallah, appreciated the role of the organizers of the workshop through providing a conducive environment for training, pointing out that knowledge is a strategic goal for the RSF, affirming that they will apply what they are trained on.
Representative of Genaid Institute for Peace and Development, Aisha, affirmed that the workshop will have its positive effect on the security of the people, expressing appreciation to the organizers.
She affirmed that Genaid Institute for Peace and Development was established to support the transitional transformation and achieving the sustainable development.

Chief of RSF Human Rights and Child Protection Directorate, Dr. Hasseeb Johanthan Koko described the decision of establishing the directorate as reflection to the priorities of the RSF leadership in boosting human rights and protection of civilians.
On conclusion of the workshop the certificates of attendance were handed to the trainees.
