FVP Calls for Expediting the Implementation of South Sudan Peace Items

First Vice President of the Transitional Sovereign Council, 1st Lt. Gen. Mohamed Hamdan Daglo has discussed via telephone conversation with the Advisor of South Sudan President, Tut Galwak the implementation process of South Sudan Peace Agreement.
The FVP Called on South Sudan leadership to expedite the accomplishment of the outstanding items of the peace agreement represented by the graduation of the joint integrated forces besides the formation of the national parliament and the states’ legislative councils and completing the constitution procedures.
He lauded the decisions of President Salva Kiir Mayardit in dissolving the parliament  which paves the way for its reformation according to the peace agreement.
The FVP affirmed his confidence on the parties of the peace agreement to go ahead in  completing the items of the peace agreement , calling on the international community to provide assistance to South Sudan to achieve stability, pointing out that Sudan as guarantor of the peace agreement will work with all South Sudan parties to overcome the obstacles towards achieving sustainable and comprehensive peace.
